- OVERVIEW : The Nieuw Statendam is the second ship in Holland’s new Pinnacle class. It strikes a perfect balance between size and amenities offered. At 2,666 passengers it never seems crowded yet offers a wide variety of entertainment, dining and bar options.
- POSITIVES : The ship really appeals to those who appreciate musical venues with three dedicated choices – Billboard On Board, The Rolling Stone lounge and B. B. Kings blues bar. Staterooms are tastefully appointed, well equipped with ample storage and large walk-in showers. Holland continues to offer twice a day room steward service. Food was above average across the board. The main theatre is well designed with unique wrap-around video screens.
- NEGATIVES : The chairs in the buffet are so heavy and sitting on carpet making them very difficult to move singlehandedly.
