Royal Caribbean - Icon of the Seas

  • OVERVIEW : Icon is currently the largest cruise ship in the world by gross tonnage and passenger capacity. It was designed as a next-generation family meg-resort at sea, with a heavy focus on water features, neighborhoods and multi-generational travel.
  • POSITIVES : There are over 40 dining and drinking venues. There is a massive pool deck space compared to older ships. It is an extremely stable ship. Every sailing includes Perfect Day at CocoCay which is their private island. It is also the first  LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) powered ship from Royal Caribbean.
  • NEGATIVES : Can feel very crowded everywhere and expect to have to wait in lines. Premium prices and extra costs add up quickly.  the ship is also too large for many ports which restricts Itineraries.
